Class 1 Linehaul Truck Driver - CAN-USA (Owner Operator)

Midland Transport Limited is currently seeking professional Class 1 Linehaul Truck Driver - CAN-USA Run (Owner Operator). The Driver can be based out of any major city in the Maritimes.

As a Linehaul Driver, you’ll run longhaul routes throughout the Maritimes, the U.S. Eastern Seaboard, and Ontario/Quebec while consistently following company procedures and maintaining high safety standards

 What we offer: 

• Canadian miles: $1.550 per mile. /USA miles: $1.665 per mile.
• Fuel Capped at: Domestic $0.408 per liter & U.S. $1.54 per U.S. gal.

• Pick-ups, drops, and wait times are paid (restrictions apply).

• Running Linehaul between the Maritimes, United States eastern seaboard, and Ontario/Quebec.
• Deliver freight to assigned locations ensuring timely delivery.
• Offload variable shipment weight and handle freight equipment properly and in a safe manner to avoid any damage. 
• Communicate efficiently with the central dispatch and customers.
• Operate the tractor trailer in accordance with the safety regulation: company rules while following safety procedures and traffic laws. 
• Perform pre-trip, en-route and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the truck operation.
• Report any incident, accident, injury or damage in a timely manner.
• Willingness to work linehaul legs into the United States, including New York and New Jersey.

• Bunk Truck must be no older than 8 years
• Education Required: High School or GED. 
• Class 1 driver’s license with a minimum of 4 years of safe tractor trailer driving experience in North America required. 
• Clean driver’s abstract and criminal search. 
• Eligibility to receive a FAST card.
• Eligibility to cross the border with US.
• Familiarity with satellite systems.
• Excellent communication skills, work ethic and reliability. 
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. 
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. using the proper equipment.
• Safety conscious. 
• Must have flexibility to work various shifts: Days, Evenings, Nights, Weekends.
