Description

This role is hands-on and fast-moving—equal parts creative and executional. You’ll lead the development of video, photography, and other content that supports campaigns, showcases our stores and teams, and connects with customers across Atlantic Canada.

You’ll work closely with internal teams to turn ideas into content that is practical, relevant, and aligned with KENT’s brand—while helping raise the bar on how we show up across every touchpoint.

 

This position offers a competitive salary ($55-75,000.00 /year).



Responsibilities
  • Plan, create, and deliver content across social media, website, email, and in-store marketing
  • Capture and produce video and photography that highlights products, projects, promotions, and people
  • Lead video content development from concept through to final delivery, including script writing, editing and post-production
  • Support marketing campaigns, product launches, and seasonal initiatives with timely, high-impact content
  • Coordinate shoots, including locations, schedules, equipment, and internal stakeholders
  • Travel to stores across Atlantic Canada to capture authentic, on-the-ground content
  • Ensure all content reflects KENT’s brand standards and voice
  • Review, edit, and refine content to ensure clarity, accuracy, and quality
  • Monitor content performance and adjust approach based on what’s working
  • Stay current with content trends, tools, and formats to keep our creative fresh and relevant
  • Provide day-to-day supervision and support to the Content Specialist


Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education in Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related field
  • 5–7+ years of experience creating video content in a retail, agency, or digital environment
  • Strong hands-on experience with video production, photography, and editing
  • Advanced proficiency with tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop and Lightroom
  • Experience in motion graphics is highly preferred.

  • Previous experience, operating a drone, or holding a drone license are considered strong assets.   

     

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong storytelling, writing, and editing skills
  • Experience creating content for digital and social platforms
  • Interest in home improvement, DIY, or retail considered an asset
  • Bilingualism (French/English) considered an asset
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel
