The Opportunity

Based in Moncton, this role plays a meaningful part in shaping resilient municipal infrastructure—water, wastewater, stormwater, roads, and community‑serving civil works. As Design Engineer, your work will directly support safer, more efficient, and sustainable communities across New Brunswick.

Your Impact

  • Design civil and municipal infrastructure including site grading, servicing, water distribution, wastewater collection, and stormwater management systems.
  • Prepare engineering deliverables such as design reports, drawings, cost estimates, and tender packages for municipal projects.
  • Provide  field support and construction oversight—review shop drawings, conduct site visits, observe progress, track deficiencies, and help ensure quality and compliance.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across environmental, geotechnical, transportation, and planning groups to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Contribute to project coordination tasks such as scheduling, budgeting input, document management, and communication with internal partners.
  • Support proposal content, technical inputs, and scope development to help strengthen regional project pursuits.

The Skills That Set You Apart

  • A degree in Civil Engineering, plus experience in municipal design and construction oversight.
  • 5- to 8 years of experience 
  • Eligibility or progression toward P.Eng. designation in New Brunswick.
  • Proficiency with design tools such as Civil 3D (or other civil design platforms).
  • Knowledge of municipal design standards, permitting processes, and provincial guidelines.
  • Experience producing drawings, calculations, and contract documents for civil/municipal projects.
  • A collaborative mindset and a passion for supporting healthy, sustainable communities.

Compensation

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $66,700 – $88,400

MB & ON: $60,900 – $83,800

NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $60,300 - $80,000
