Farm Equipment Operator - Seasonal

Cavendish Farms is looking for Seasonal Farm Equipment Operator for our Seed Potato Farm located in Juniper, NB. 

It is a SEASONAL position from May until October recurring annually. 

Work Schedule: availability to work 7 days a week, 10–14 hours per day

Work Location: Juniper, NB.  

All operations are local to Juniper, NB.

• A positive attitude.
• Safely operate farm tractors and implements, including various tillage implements.
• Ability to effectively communicate with management and co-workers.
• Preform daily equipment maintenance; ensuring all components are functioning properly.
• Contribute to the team’s goals and provide feedback on how to better operations.
• General labour duties like potato grading, disinfecting equipment, cleaning buildings/yard, etc. when needed.
• Please note this role is a blend of equipment operation duties and all the other duties depending on the business needs. 

• Experience operating tractors, harvesters, windrowers or other heavy farm equipment.
• Ability to lift 50lbs.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Availability to work extended hours, evenings, and weekends.
• Willingness to work outdoors in mixed weather conditions.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• High degree of attention to detail.
• Previous experience working in farm operations would be an asset.
