WorkSafeNB is looking to hire a permanent full-time Bilingual written and spoken Health and Safety Consultant. This position is to support the Southeastern part of New Brunswick.
Reporting to the Manager, Consultation Services, the Health and Safety Consultant is an important catalyst for improving the health and safety culture in the province. They provide specialized services, including consulting, educating, auditing, and technical expertise, to employers with the objective of keeping New Brunswickers healthy and safe at work. They lead a proactive team approach with all levels of leadership in workplaces to improve health and safety programs leading to enhanced safety culture, fewer hazards, and a reduction in claims and reportable incidents.

A valid driver's license and the ability to travel within the province, will be required for on-site work with employers. Travel expenses are reimbursed as per our expense directive.

Assessments are affected by the level of activities in the province's workplaces, as are the resulting claims. There are also substantial assets that ensure WorkSafeNB will be able to provide the ongoing benefits promised to injured workers through a wage loss recovery insurance system. These funds are invested in the financial markets and investment returns are subject to the ups and downs of the marketplace.
