Description
The International Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for recruiting, qualifying, and supporting foreign commercial drivers throughout their immigration and onboarding journey. This role works closely with the Centre of Excellence on immigration applications, oversees newcomer settlement activities, manages training and settlement budgets, and leverages ORC and HCM tools to support the employee lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for qualifying new foreign drivers in accordance with the Sunbury Qualification Standards.
- Working with the COE on immigration applications, visas, and visa extensions
- Monitoring legal status of foreign employees
- Maintains all records and immigration activity dates of the foreign employee
- Oversee all settlement activities for all newcomers
- Manages the training and settlement spend
- Utilize ORC and HCM people management tools
- Travel requirement 25-30%
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in Business; concentration in Human Resources or other related considered an asset
- 2-5 years work experience; experience in Transportation & Logistics considered an asset
- Strong organizational skills demonstrating excellent attention to detail
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in new Canadian recruitment & settlement is considered an asset
- Ability to speak multiple languages considered an asset
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills
