DescriptionThe Procurement Student will work with Corporate Procurement on a dedicated team supporting the J.D. Irving Moncton-based companies and will be responsible for assisting and/or performing the execution of compliance, system audits, assisting in various tasks and special projects.
This is a 4-month work term from May 2026 to August 2026.
Responsibilities
- File Management: uploading documents and updating compliance data on online management tool; supporting management of filing hard copies of documents;
- Reporting: Preparing weekly reports based on contract data; updating dashboard
- Support shared inbox management and organization
- Package contracts for final legal approval and signatory execution.
- Support initiation and task assignment/management in online management tool;
- Assist with compliance document review.
- Perform or assist with adhoc special projects.
Qualifications- Enrolled in a post-secondary education program.
- Have strong attention to detail.
- Positive can-do attitude with an interest in business, procurement, legal, and/or finance.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills in English with the ability to comfortably communicate to other team members as well as staff within the JD Irving businesses.
- Basic knowledge of legal and auditing principles/standards.
- Familiarity with various computer systems and proficient with Microsoft applications (Excel, Adobe, Outlook and Word).
