FACULTY OF BUSINESS
The UNB Saint John Faculty of Business (FOB) offers a 12-month intensive MBA program and a Bachelor of Business program with industry backed specializations, numerous experiential learning opportunities, and a CEWIL accredited co-op program. The faculty, in collaboration with other UNB units, manages admissions, program advising, student engagement, experiential learning, curriculum development, alumni relations and community engagement.

WHAT WE OFFER

Standard Work Hours: Mon - Fri | 8:15 am - 4:30 pm | 36.25 hours per week

Salary Range: $49,410 - $61,768 per annum

YOUR FOCUS

Reporting to the Manager, Integrated Student Experience and Retention, the Coordinator of Outreach and Employer Engagement is responsible for building and maintaining productive and mutually beneficial relationships with the community and employers. They will generate and facilitate work-integrated learning opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students across business programs within the Faculty of Business.

  • Build and maintain a database of employers capable of addressing changing expectations of employers and students in relation to work-integrated learning (e.g., coop, internships, practicum, applied research, COIL teaching).
  • Create and nurture engagement opportunities that foster productive and mutually beneficial relationships with community partners and employers.
  • Work with the relevant stakeholders to design and execute outreach strategies and campaigns to recruit new external partners and identify synergies.
  • Coordinate employer-facing events such as career fairs, showcases, information sessions, and networking events.
  • Assist employers in designing meaningful learning experiences, job descriptions, and project scopes for business students.
  • Ensure students are aware of the work-integrated learning opportunities that are available to them.
  • Facilitate effective placement of students by adopting a deliberate matching process between students' profiles and employers' needs.
  • Monitor the status of placements, address any issues or conflicts and ensure placements meet institutional policies, accreditation standards, and general management guidelines.
  • Support risk management processes, including agreements, insurance documentation, and workplace readiness checks.
  • Maintain accurate records of employer contacts, student placements, and partnership activities.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as placement rates, employer satisfaction, and outcomes for the faculty and students.
  • Prepare reports for leadership, accreditation bodies, and funding agencies using data insights to inform strategic planning and continuous improvement of the programs.
  • Develop promotional materials highlighting program options, and the added value for students and employers.
  • Identify emerging trends to guide program updates and recommend new partnership models.
  • Support budgeting, sponsorships, grants and other funding initiatives.
  • Other duties as may be assigned.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • MBA required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in business development or sales.
  • Proven ability to build win-win relationships and develop professional networks.
  • Superior communication (verbal and written) skills.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
