The Opportunity
Prestige Homes, a division of The Shaw Group Limited, has been designing and building mini, modular, and multi-family homes to the highest quality and customer standards for over 50 years.
We are seeking an experienced Drywall Finisher / Crackfiller to join our production team in a high-volume residential home manufacturing facility.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys precision work, takes pride in clean finishes, and wants the stability of indoor, year-round construction without travel between job sites.
What you'll do
Responsibilities
As an integral part of our team, you will:
- Fill joints, nail holes, cracks, and seams using taping compounds and appropriate tools
- Tape over joints using compound and tape
- Apply successive coats of compound and sand beams and joints to achieve a smooth finish
- Inspect finished surfaces to ensure compliance with quality standards
- Repair and patch drywall defects in a production-line environment
- Operate hand and power tools related to drywall finishing
- Maintain productivity targets while ensuring workmanship meets trade standards
- Follow workplace safety procedures and housekeeping requirements
What you'll need
Qualifications
- Experience in drywall finishing, plastering, or a related skilled trade
- Knowledge of drywall compounds, application techniques, and finishing standards
- Ability to read and interpret basic work instructions or production specifications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
- Physical ability to perform repetitive tasks, including sanding, lifting, and standing for extended periods
- Experience in a manufacturing or modular home environment is considered an asset

This is where our skilled employees precision-engineer modules (sections) of homes to be delivered to the home site, where they are then fitted together and roofing, siding, drywall and flooring are installed.
