The Opportunity


As a Membership Services Representative, you will be the first point of contact for members and visitors. You will deliver high quality experiences to members and potential members by being an information source about the programs and services the YMCA of Southwestern New Brunswick offers to aid them in reaching their specific health and fitness goals. 

 

Responsibilities 


  • Greet all members by name, engage in conversation and provide exceptional Y experiences to members and visitors.
  • Meet or exceed targets including new member joins, follow up phone calls, and rates of conversion of prospective members.
  • Understand all programs and services the YMCA of Southwestern New Brunswick has to offer.
  • Build relationships with members and participants to engage and connect them to the Y’s program and services.
  • Ensure all members adhere to the Member Etiquette, Child Protection Rules and the Y’s Values.
  • Ensure delivery of Serving All Members (SAM) standards in daily interactions with visitors or members. Including supporting them through membership applications, program registrations, processing payments, member orientations, facility tours, answering incoming calls, emails, and questions, resolving member concerns and ensuring all areas are safe and clean.


Skills and Qualifications


  • Previous sales or customer service experience is an asset.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Computer experience working with Microsoft Suite.
  • Strong work ethic and excellent organization skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekday opening hours, evenings and weekends.
  • First Aid/CPR certification, or willingness to obtain.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain prior to start date.
