It is the primary responsibility of the Pro Shop Specialist at Golf Town to provide customer service, sales, merchandise processing and operational functions within the Pro Shop.  If you love meeting people, working with equipment and providing quick and efficient customer service, this position is for you. A passion for golf and its equipment, apparel and accessories would be considered an asset.  Description of Job Responsibilities: Customer Service:  Provide customers with highest level of service, emphasizing courteous and knowledgeable assistance to each and every customer.  Demonstrate the ability to listen to and solve customer issues.  Understand and be knowledgeable of how to handle customer complaints.  Be familiar with Company Customer Service policies.  Answer department phones courteously within three rings.  Address asset protection issues that may occur within the department in a manner that there is neither a loss to the company nor an uncontrollable situation with the customer.     Pro Shop/Club Fittings Ensure showcases, counter top, and corner displays meet company standard. Ensure shafts and grips are displayed appropriately.  Maintain overall housekeeping of work area including general maintenance on all equipment. Modify and repair manufacturer’s clubs to Golf Town standards. Provide knowledge for club grip and shaft specifications. Ensure that company safety practices are being followed by associates. Qualifications:   A high school education and computer literacy skills is preferred.  1 - 3 Yrs.’ relevant retail sales experience. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Internet an asset Affinity for luxury golf equipment, apparel and accessories, keen interest in golf and regularly keeping up to date with market trends and new innovations in golf retail Strong communication and leadership skills and sound judgment.  Detail oriented and strong attention to customer service.   Ability to execute company standards successfully.  Exceptional interpersonal skills-ability to adapt to meet a wide range of customer needs, able to build rapport quickly Creative, innovative Energetic and enthusiastic    Pro Shop Specific Skills Required: Requires re-gripping and re-shafting experience through Company training program Strong knowledge of club fitting as well as sales.    Work Hours: Flex schedule - some weekends and evenings. Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
