Production Team Lead

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Team Leaders to join our production team. Reporting to the Supervisor, the Team Lead/Lead Hand will be responsible for leading a team of cross-functional mixers and line operators, ensuring a clean and safe work environment, and achieving production targets.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of production workers, providing guidance and support.
• Ensure adherence to product quality standards.
• Promote and enforce safety practices and procedures.
• Foster a collaborative environment among team members and with management.
• Manage schedules and ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Coordinate with the Supervisor to align production activities with the overall plan.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience in a leadership role in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work shift work, 12-hour shifts, holidays, overtime, and call-in shifts, if required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Able to stand for extended periods of time, and has good hand dexterity
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment (an asset)
• WHMIS training is provided
• Ability to bend and kneel on a regular basis, and to climb and descend set of 15 stairs regularly
• Ability to lift and pour raw material pails weighting 25kgs
• Ability to count, measure, and operate a timer
