Responsibilities
Lead and supervise the shipping and receiving team, ensuring productivity, adherence to company standards, and smooth daily operations.
Fill operational gaps as needed to maintain workflow continuity. Provide hands-on support to the shipping team when necessary.
Train and mentor team members to maintain high performance and compliance with procedures.
Ensure safety protocols are strictly followed; report any incidents to the Operations Manager and maintain a safe work environment.
Investigate discrepancies related to parts, receiving, and invoices, support escalations, invoice variances, corrections, and overall inventory health.
Manage inventory management activities, including cycle counts, returns, and physical inventory processes.
Manage Returns (PARS) and ensure accurate part locations for new items.
Coordinate shipping activities, working with carriers and freight forwarders to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
Collaborate with procurement team to address issues with received products.
Maintain strong communication with branches and procurement teams, managing parts transfers to other branches efficiently.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.
Qualifications
Education: Trade Certification or College Diploma required
Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of experience in warehouse/retail operations, shipping/receiving, or inventory control, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
Technical Skills: Proficiency with ERP systems and inventory management software; Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook), ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (valid certification preferred).
Knowledge & Competencies: Strong understanding of warehouse processes, safety standards, and compliance regulations; excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 20 kg (40 lbs) and stand for extended periods; comfortable working in environments that may be dirty or hazardous, with proper PPE.
Additional Assets: Previous experience in a dealership Parts Department is considered an asset.
