Moosehead Breweries is looking for a Trade Marketing Coordinator - 6 Month Contract to support Moosehead's core portfolio (Moosehead Lager, Cracked Canoe, Moosehead Radler, etc.) across the Ontario and West regions. This Saint John-based role requires an organized, creative, and analytical individual who is passionate about building brands in retail and on‑premise channels. The ideal candidate provides exceptional marketing support, thrives in a fast‑paced environment, and brings a driven, curious, and energetic personality that inspires others.
The Trade Marketing Coordinator supports the execution of our brand and commercial plans in-market - helping translate brand strategy into channel-ready programs, selling materials, and point-of-sale tools that enable our Sales team to win at retail and on-premise. Trade Marketing sits at the intersection of Marketing and Sales, ensuring the right programs, assets, and insights are delivered clearly, on time, and in a way that drives distribution, visibility, and rate of sale.
This role will report directly to the Trade Marketing Manager - Core Ontario.
What you'll do
Responsibilities
- Coordinate key tasks related to the development and execution of trade marketing programs (gifts-with-purchase, enter-to-win contests, on-pack overlays, dealer loaders, etc.).
- Collaborate with external creative agencies and in-house graphics team to brief, review, proofread and consolidate feedback and approvals for point-of-sale materials (sell sheets, displays, in-store signage, etc.).
- Work with external vendors to procure and manage production of displays & signage that meet quality standards.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for field sales teams on program tools and execution details.
- Assist in building compelling, data-informed selling materials for field reps and customer presentations (sell sheets, one-pagers, program overviews, pitch decks, etc.).
- Pull and interpret relevant performance inputs (e.g., distribution, velocity, market share, promo results, compliance) to support program evaluation and the development of sales tools.
- Track point-of-sale inventory levels, coordinate distribution, and support problem-solving to ensure field teams have what they need when they need it.
- Assist in coordinating the execution of in-store sampling events which includes overseeing logistics, coordinating with vendors, and preparing marketing collateral.
- Liaising with the brand and communications teams to develop promotional assets of trade activity on Moosehead's platforms (Social, Website, etc.).
- Assist with processing invoices and documenting in respective trackers.
- Conduct regular competitive market research and gather sales input for trade activity.
- Support the completion of post-program evaluation reports and participate in review sessions.
- Special projects as determined by the Trade Marketing team.
What you'll need
Qualifications
- University graduate, business or marketing concentration recommended.
- 1-2 years of marketing, sales, sales support, agency, or customer-facing coordination experience.
- Proficiency in Canva for creating/refining polished, on-brand materials quickly.
- Strong project management habits: able to manage timelines, stakeholders, and multiple deliverables simultaneously.
- Strong analytical orientation: comfort working with KPI dashboards, performance metrics, and translating numbers into insights.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, namely Excel.
- Exceptional organization skills with ability to handle a high workload in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Entrepreneurial spirit, looking to join an "all hands-on deck" environment.
- Independent and proactive: takes ownership, anticipates needs, and follows through without heavy oversight.
- Desire to learn; self-starter seeking exposure to new areas.
- Familiarity with CPG sales fundamentals (distribution, velocity/ROS, promo mechanics, retail execution) is an asset.
